About Us

Shorty's Meat Company opened on March 1, 2000, and is owned and operated by Denis George. Much help and support was provided from family members to set up the store for opening. The first store location was at 3080 Windwood Drive in Mississauga, Ontario.

On May 26, 2002 the original store location closed in order to relocate the business to a new location at 6970 Lisgar Drive in Mississauga, Ontario (Lisgar Drive and Derry Road). On June 1, 2002 Shorty's Meat Company opened at this current location.

This website was created to help keep our customers informed of available products, sales, special events and extras such as cooking tips and recipes.

We have taken a few pictures of the new store for everyone to view at the bottom of the page.

     
Denis George - President

Denis has 25 plus years experience as a butcher and is always there to help you help you choose the right cuts of meat for your meal to make your dinner party or BBQ a success. Denis will always make sure that his customers are very happy with their choices of meat. Denis is like a walking encyclopedia when it comes to having the best cuts of meat. Denis really know his stuff.
